WHY?

Based on our experience one day...

What did we expect to find?

In general, women baristas would be more friendly because female-linked language tends to have more aesthetic qualities
Baristas will be more friendly to members of the opposite gender based on attraction
Baristas will be neutral or less friendly to members of the same gender

Why did we expect to find this?

Based on our experiences, we were trying to measure if our interaction was rare or common. We also believed that attraction to members of the opposite sex may play a role in how friendly the baristas are towards their customers.
